I`ve been working on visiting all 50 states before I`m 50 (7 states and only a few years left!). With one of my boys in college and one about to be a junior in HS, this seemed like the perfect summer to take an Alaskan cruise with them. It was a wonderful week! We took a helicopter to a glacier in Juneau, mountain ebiked in Skagway, mini-golfed in Victoria, BC, and sailed past countless icebergs near Dawes Glacier.
Fun Fact about seals (shown in iceberg photo): Some seals actually give birth right out on floating ice. Harbor seals often choose chunks of glacier ice because it helps keep their newborn pups away from predators on land and in the water. The pups can rest, nurse, and stay close to their mothers on the ice while they build strength. Also, icebergs are HUGE and we can only see 10% of them above water. Most were bigger than a car and many were bigger than a house!
And a huge shoutout to Brenna, our Team Coordinator, for keeping our Baby Ladies ship afloat (pun intended!) while I was away. She`s the BEST and we all appreciate her so much!
