B.O.O.B. Camp is a New Parent class is unlike any other class in our area! We created this format to specifically to address the questions and concerns we hear from so many families who don’t feel prepared for those first few hours, days, and weeks after their baby’s birth.
We’re Angela Swieter and Katie Nyberg, two highly experienced postnatal professionals, who have combined our expertise to create a class that focuses on all things related to new moms, their partners, babies, and families.
Topics will include:
B: Breastfeeding in the first hour, days, and weeks
O: Organizing the home in those first weeks: Helpers, visitors, and planning for mom’s recovery
O: Orientation to Parenting: How will you calm your baby? Help them sleep better? Get sleep yourself?
B: Babies: What are normal physical appearances for baby? What can I expect my baby to be able to do? Can I play with my newborn? (yes!)
This format of B.O.O.B. Camp is the same class that hundreds of other parents have attended–and loved–now on your own time. This means you and your support partner can watch a little bit each day or binge it all at once! Then you can plan on attending an In-Person Practice session on one of the listed dates if you’d like (optional but highly encouraged!) This will give you and your partner a chance to practice breastfeeding position, baby calming and comfort techniques, babywearing, and more. Questions? I’m available to chat!

There is a $50 class fee for you and your partner/support person. Classes are held in an online classroom. You will have immediate access to your class online videos, activities, and more! B.O.O.B. Camp is co-taught with Angela Swieter of Applaud Breastfeeding Services (formerly of Basking Babies).
