Pregnancy Preparations Section focuses on:

  • good body mechanics in late pregnancy to help baby get into optimal fetal positioning sleeping, eating, and sitting better in pregnancy

What is the fee?

The cost for this class is $50. This includes online three-hour childbirth basics class + access to a Digital Library of great supplementary educational materials + optional one-hour in-person, hands-on practice session!

Can I still attend if I’m planning a VBAC? Getting an Epidural? Of course! All birth goals, wishes, and plans are welcome! I present information in an evidence-based approach. We will talk about the benefits, risks, and alternatives for common interventions (procedures and medications) used in the United States–including nitrous oxide now offered at a few hospitals in Des Moines and other midwest cities.

Is this class three hours of online lecture? No! I have a State of Iowa Teaching License and love to implement various learning strategies into the class–even when it’s online. There will be many opportunities for you and your support person to discuss what is being presented and how to apply it to your birth and parenting goals.
