It has been a really fun week for the Iowa Baby Ladies!
👉Our labor team has been busy with their prenatal appointments and supporting birth
👉Our postpartum team has been doing daytime & overnights every day this week
👉We had two sessions of Birth 2 Be Community (one in person and one online)
👉A huge THANK YOU to Haylee Wilkening at @revivept_wellness for joining our in-person class on Tuesday to talk to our expecting parents about mobility in labor!!

♥ Tomorrow is our New Moms Social Hour Valentine`s Party! All new moms and their babies are invited to join us from 10am-11am Friday. No need to RSVP. We will have Coffeesmith Coffee, snacks, a baby craft, and fun with other new moms! Location: @waukeewellness & Chiropractic This event is co-hosted with Shannon at @blessedbirthsandbeyond

It was a great day at the Capitol Building today talking to our government leaders about improving birth outcomes in Iowa. I was thrilled be alongside amazing birth professionals with @icanofcentralia , @revivept_wellness , @psi.iowa, AWOHNN, @midwifedesmoines, and other midwives of Iowa.
While I briefly spoke to people about doulas, our focus was mainly on Midwifery equal pay, freestanding birth center barriers, and how Iowa is continually losing birthing locations....yet we have some of the toughest barriers for birth center creation in the country.
Healthy birth options in Iowa are so important for our families.
And yes, I found a baby to snuggle while her mom was advocating for better mental health care for new moms!
