Birth 2 Be Community Childbirth Education
Getting ready for the birth of your baby is exciting, and it can also bring up a lot of questions. The Birth 2 Be Community is designed to support you during pregnancy by helping you understand your options, feel more confident, and make informed decisions for your birth.
In this ongoing childbirth education series, we explore common hospital procedures and technology such as fetal monitoring, inductions, pain relief options, and cesarean birth. We also discuss how movement, positioning, and comfort measures can support labor and how to know when certain interventions may or may not be helpful for your specific situation. All topics are presented using an evidence-based approach, without fear-based messaging or scare tactics.
Classes are offered both in person in Waukee, Iowa and live online via Zoom, making it easy to participate in the way that works best for you. You are welcome to attend one session or register for multiple dates. Each class stands alone, but together they provide a well-rounded childbirth education experience.
This event series is open to anyone who is expecting a baby, along with their support partner.
Cost
• Fee waived for current Iowa Baby Ladies clients
• $20 per class for families not currently working with The Iowa Baby Ladies
If an in-person class is sold out or you are unable to attend in the evening, please register for the online version instead. The online and in-person classes cover the same content, so we recommend choosing one format per topic.
Why Join Birth 2 Be
Education and community during pregnancy are powerful tools. Research shows that informed, supported parents are more likely to have positive birth experiences, increased confidence, and smoother transitions into parenthood.
