About The Iowa Baby Ladies

Welcome to our newly updated website! (This is my way of apologizing in advance for any tech issues you may experience!) I am Katie Nyberg, "The Iowa Baby Lady", and have been serving hundreds of families in the Des Moines area since 2010. If you are looking for labor support, postpartum support, classes, or lactation support, this is the right place! In addition to myself, our team of Iowa Baby Ladies is ready to support you and your growing family too.

Whether you're looking for birth doula support or in-home, postpartum doula support, we are here to assist you in your journey to motherhood. Our doulas have supported hundreds of mothers, fathers, partners, spouses, siblings, and newborns through educational classes, events, and doula services.

Research shows that mothers who are professionally supported through birth and the first weeks postpartum are more likely to have less procedures and medications during birth, better start to breastfeeding, have more confidence in parenting, less postpartum mood/anxiety disorders, bond quicker with baby, and are overall happier. We would love to share more about how our support might be a good fit for your family!

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

The Iowa Baby Ladies offer many services for expecting and new parents. From prenatal care to birth support to postpartum home visits, we are here for you.

Our labor/birth doulas offer three types of support: Informational Support, Emotional Support, and Physical Support throughout pregnancy and birth.

Our doulas provide in-home, postpartum care to mothers through education, breastfeeding help, baby care, family support, light household support, and so much more.

We educate mothers and their partners about birth and parenting. Click here to find the right class for you!
